The Phase II development of the Anting International Medical Industry Park, which is located in Anting town, Jiading district, Shanghai, was recently completed. Phase III of the park is expected to be completed by August 2024.
Preparations to move a diverse range of medical and healthcare companies into the park are already underway.
The park's first phase is already home to some 30 high-tech medical companies. The second phase, which saw the transformation and expansion of old factory buildings of Zhonglian Paper, has expanded the industrial space available from the original 19,000 square meters to nearly 35,000 sq m.
The third phase will have a building area of 25,000 sq m, which will be mainly used for headquarters offices and production facilities. This phase will focus on companies in the field of high-performance medical equipment and devices, biopharmaceuticals, and testing and inspection.
The person in charge of Anting's industrial promotion office said that plans for the fourth and fifth phases, which will increase the industrial space of the park to approximately 120,000 sq m, are already in the pipeline and will be implemented within the next three years.
