The 2023 Jiading Science and Technology Festival kicked off on May 21 in Shanghai's Jiading district and will last until May 31.
Over 160 activities will be held across the district during the festival, highlighting the significant advancements in sci-tech while concurrently emphasizing the importance of science popularization. Furthermore, residents can take advantage of free admission to 14 science popularization centers, and three science popularization centers are offering discounted tickets to the public.
At the launch ceremony of the festival, Jiading's science popularization resource platform was officially launched. The platform has collected resources from 136 popular science activities, lectures, and more than 30 popular science videos.
Jiading also formed a teaching group comprising sci-tech workers to provide convenience for people in science popularization activities.
Many people were drawn to the Innovation Achievements Market during the launch ceremony, which featured booths in four major fields: automotive and energy, integrated circuits and chips, biomedical and medical devices, digital technology, and food and agricultural technology.
Teenagers and residents will also have the chance to visit scientific facilities and key laboratories through organized tours during the festival.
