From April 10 to 13, 708 innovation projects competed in the Jiading leg of the Startup in Shanghai International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition in Shanghai's Jiading district.
The competition focused on bolstering the development of science and technology enterprises with great potential and attracted many micro, small and medium-sized technology enterprises to participate.
This year, the Jiading leg carried out six regular events and a biomedical special event with project roadshows at competition points in nine innovation carriers across Jiading district.
During the new-generation information technology event held on April 10 at the Jiading Incubator, representatives from 78 enterprises in the field introduced their products and technologies and investment experts gave comprehensive evaluations of the participants' projects.
Since its debut in 2012, the Startup in Shanghai competition has become a stage for technology entrepreneurs to showcase their innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies, as well as a platform to gather innovative resources.
The winners will have opportunities to get funding from the Shanghai municipal government. Last year, 221 enterprises in Jiading received funding from the government.
