Two of Jiading's great sites, Jiading Museum and Hantianheng Art Museum, were chosen as part of the third batch of worth-visiting places in Shanghai, which ended recently and was determined by cultural temperament and popularity.
In 1959, Jiading Museum was established. It is a comprehensive museum that combines activities including collections, conservation, research, exhibitions, and education. The museum in the heart of Jiading district has been free to the public since June 2013.
The museum boasts a distinctive architectural style and showcases collections of historical and cultural artifacts. The museum is an excellent example of modern design that incorporates Southern Yangtze gardens

Jiading's Hantianheng Art Museum held its grand opening on October 24, 2013. More than 1,136 works of art by Hantianheng, a well-known Chinese artist who donated his priceless calligraphies, engravings, and other treasures to decorate the museum, have been acquired by the institution.
The museum, which has a surface area of 14,000 square meters, has four exhibition galleries. More than 10 exhibitions featuring historical and cultural artifacts have already been staged here, and they have had a significant impact on Shanghai's cultural sectors.
