Gohda Naoto, deputy manager of Marketing Department of COSCO Shipping (Japan) Co whose headquarter is located in Shanghai, has worked in this Chinese company for 25 years. Thanks to the company's job rotation system, Gohda has worked in various positions and feels proud for working there.

As Chinese manufacturing surged in the 1990s, Japan's enterprises, especially those in auto and appliance-making industries flocked to Chinese market. Back then, Gohda witnessed the opening of many shipping lines created by his company.
At the same time, he has witnessed the acceleration of the company's pace towards globalization and presently a great number of container line networks have been built worldwide.
To make life in China easier, Gohda has studied Chinese diligently and is quite familiar with traditional Chinese festivals. According to him, his wife is a foreign citizen of Chinese origin and they worship ancestors on every Tomb Sweeping Day.
Gohda also loves traveling in China. He has been to many cities, including Shenzhen, Sanya and Guilin and as he said, every city in China has its own unique temperament. While traveling across the country, he has tasted various delicacies and according to him, his favorite dish is braised pork.
