A sub forum of the 2022 China Auto Forum themed on high quality development of hydrogen energy and the auto industry was held in Jiading on Nov 10. During the forum, Jiading established the hydrogen energy and fuel cell electric vehicle (FCEV) industry league, which consists of more than 20 enterprises.
As one of the earliest districts to have developed hydrogen energy and the FCEV industry, Jiading has formed a leading industrial format. Currently, two industrial parks – Jiading Hydrogen Park and Shanghai New Energy Vehicle & Key Parts Industrial Base – have gathered more than 100 enterprises, of which 20 are leading enterprises.
By the end of August, there were 1,380 FCEVs promoted in Jiading this year, covering a safe driving distance of 32.69 million kilometers, which took up an 89 percent share in Shanghai.
With the establishment of the league, Jiading plans to further develop hydrogen energy and the FCEV industry. The main tasks of the league encompass making effective policies and strategies, the research and development of key technologies and pooling talents.
Jiading holds an aggressive attitude toward the development of hydrogen energy and the FCEV industry. It strives to reach a total output value of more than 100 billion yuan ($14.2 billion) and establish 18 hydrogen stations by 2025.
