MEMS World Summit China 2022 was held in Jiading district, Shanghai, on Nov 2. The summit focused on how to better implement the integrated circuit industry into the thriving metaverse, which induced an in depth discussion among experts.
The development of the metaverse is underpinned by powerful technologies, so the topic of the summit circled around sensing technology, and chip research and development.
According to Duanmu Haiying, deputy secretary-general Shanghai Multimedia Industry Association, Jiading can integrate its automobile industry into the metaverse and stand on the shoulders of existing technologies, which will help the industry with industrial upgrading, cost reduction and increase efficiency.
"We have cooperated with the National Intelligent Sensor Innovation Center for years and have built a standardized testing platform for the testing of MEMS," said Sun Yuanli, general manager of Suzhou SPEA Automated Testing Equipment Co. Sun noted that the company wants to utilize an integrated layout in Jiading.
At the summit, Shanghai Jiading District State-owned Assets Management (Group) Co has made an agreement with Shanghai University to further cooperate in areas such as industrial restructuring, talent recruitment and the transformation of technical achievements.
