Jiading district has been bolstering its efforts to carry out rural revitalization in the past five years, such as improving the environment, accelerating the agricultural production, and increasing farmers' incomes.
Environment improved
Over the past five years, Jiading district has improved the village environment and living conditions, benefiting 23,000 households in the district.
For instance, Xiangyang village in Jiading district began the construction for beautiful villages and demonstration villages of rural revitalization in 2017. Achievements such as the dredging of a waterway, installation of natural gas, gigaband and 5G networks in households, as well as improving the green coverage in the village to over 85 percent, have been made through years.
In addition to the basic improvement, the village has been re-constructed and upgraded according to the standards of A-level tourist attractions.
The improved environment and living conditions of the village have helped boost the development of its industries. For instance, the village cooperated with Minth Group to establish a research and development center for rice planting. The village will also carry out other projects such as a R&D center for smart integrated components for automobiles, ecological agriculture, art museum, and cultural tourism of agriculture.
