In the first half of this year, the smart sensor and internet of things industry in Jiading district achieved an output value of 19.18 billion yuan ($2.97 billion), up 5.2 percent year-on-year.

Located in Jiading district, Shanghai Fast-PCB Circuit Technology Co contributed to the district's development in the emerging industry as its output value surged by more than 50 percent year-on-year.

Founded in 2004, the company mainly produces and develops high-precision medium and small batches of fast printed circuit boards.

Meeting the international level of similar products, the company's products have been recognized by companies and scientific research institutes in the telecommunications, computing, automobiles, medical equipment, as well as aerospace fields nationwide.

Currently, the company's new industrial production base for high-end special printed circuit boards is under construction.

In recent years, the products of Fast-PCB have been sold to countries and regions in Europe, America, Asia, and Africa. After the company's overall expansion and transformation efforts are completed, it is expected to increase production capacity by 30 to 50 percent each year, as well as increase output value by 180 million yuan.

Established in 2001 and based in Jiading Industrial Zone, Continental Automotive Systems (Shanghai) Co is wholly owned by Continental Corporation, a leading supplier of auto parts.

In recent years, it has deepened the localization of millimeter-wave radars, smart cameras, and surround view cameras. More than 20 new models equipped with Continental's advanced driver assistance system products were launched in China in 2020.

In April 2021, Continental Corporation signed an agreement with Horizon Robotics, a Chinese chipmaker, to establish a joint venture for the development of intelligent driving.
