Among over 300 exhibits in the Shanghai Astronomy Museum, three are from the Dalai Time Museum in Jiading district, Shanghai.
Early in the preparation stage of the Shanghai Astronomy Museum in 2019, Li Dalai, director of the Dalai Time Museum, was asked whether he would lend three pieces of the collection to the Shanghai Astronomy Museum for showcasing.
"We don't lend, we donate," Li responded.
"The Shanghai Astronomy Museum is the largest science education museum in the country. We hope that through this large platform, people can learn more about science," Li said.
