The third Scientific Technology Fair for the Yangtze River Delta (YRD) Region was held at the Shanghai Automobile Exhibition Center in Jiading from Nov 18 to Nov 20.

This year's event, which was held both online and offline, was attended by more than 300 enterprises from 32 YRD cities including Shanghai, Hefei and Suzhou. The fair included five exhibition areas showcasing the latest achievements of strategic emerging industries such as the internet of things, advanced manufacturing, biomedicine and new energy vehicles.

A special exhibition area highlighting YRD's achievements in chip-making industry was set up in the event, allowing visitors to learn more about the latest chip technologies.

Hefei Origin Quantum Computing Technology, established on Sept 11, 2017, attended the fair for the first time, and presented its new products which includes quantum chips.

Zhu Guoyun, manager of the company's planning department, said that the fair offers a great platform for them to communicate and exchange ideas with chip enterprises in the YRD, and will help the company better integrate into the region's industrial and innovation chains.

Shanghai United Imaging, a Jiading-based advanced medical product company, presented its advanced computed tomography (CT) machine, which can be deployed in primary-level medical centers, disaster areas and epidemic areas to greatly reduce cross-infection risks.

"This is the third time that we have taken part in the scientific technology fair, and it offers us a great platform for us to communicate and exchange ideas about scientific technology and industries," according to the manager of Shanghai United Imaging.
