Jiading district in Shanghai has actively pushed forward the construction of a smart city over the past years, and high-end technologies have been widely used in the district's daily management, according to a local media report on Oct 13.
In 2014, Jiading launched a comprehensive management system by using big data and grid management in its daily operations, providing abundant intelligent application scenarios for local authorities to improve the running of the district.
Jiading has added 23 professional access systems to the district's city management center, including weather reports and early warnings of large passenger flows, and has set up 73,000 police video recording points, offering authorities an efficient information flow that can help with city management.
