Alshaa Left Banner is set to launch its inaugural round-trip air route between Alshaa, Baotou and Hailaar starting July 2 – aimed at meeting the increasing demand during the summer travel season.

This marks the first Air-to-Air Connection route in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region – bridging its western, central and eastern regions.

Operated by China Express using CRJ900 aircraft, flights will operate every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday under the flight numbers G54901/02.

G54901 departs Alshaa Left Banner at 09:45 and arrives in Baotou at 10:45. The return leg departs Baotou at 11:55 and arrives in Hailaar at 13:55.

FlightG54902 departs Hailaar at 15:00 hrs and arrives in Baotou at 17:40 hrs. The return leg departs Baotou at 18:20 hrs and arrives in Alshaa Left Banner at 19:30 hrs.

Inner Mongolia spans China's northwestern, northern and northeastern regions. It covers a vast area, where travel by road or train can take up to 40 hours due to geographical constraints.

The new air route will significantly reduce travel times, offering a direct flight option that cuts travel to Baotou to just 1 hour and to Hailaar to 4 hours.

The improvement is expected to pave the way for easier economic and cultural exchanges between Alshaa and key regions like North China and Northeast China, promoting regional integration and development.
