China's first scheduled China-Europe freight train using the BX70B container flatcar was launched from Hohhot city, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on April 8.

The train, loaded with refrigerators, televisions, and washing machines, departed from the Shaliang International Land Port in Hohhot. It will exit China via the Ereenhot railway port and travel over 7,500 kilometers to reach Selyatino Station in Moscow, Russia.

The BX70B container flatcar is currently China's longest standard freight car, measuring 26.36 meters. Each flatcar can carry two 40-foot containers, doubling the cargo capacity of conventional container trains.

This "one car, multiple containers" model offers a more efficient and flexible transport solution and lays the groundwork for future cold chain rail services.

This train marks a significant achievement in collaborative innovation between Hohhot city, the Hohhot branch of China Railway Special Cargo Logistics Co, and Sinotrans Inner Mongolia Bonded Logistics Co, enhancing transport efficiency and load capacity.

The launch of the BX70B train expands cross-border rail transport options and advances regional cooperation initiatives. It also strengthens Hohhot's position as a key hub in the China-Europe freight train network and supports the city's efforts to improve the quality and efficiency of its outbound services.
