The "Belt and Road" Inner Mongolia Border Port Media Tour was launched on Nov 8.

This will see over 40 journalists divided into two groups as they head to the nine border ports in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, including Manzhouli and Ereenhot.

They will be treated to a comprehensive view of Inner Mongolia's fruitful achievements in participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, learn about the so-called Mongolian horse spirit, and see how the region is building an important bridgehead for northward opening-up, while also integrating into the China-Mongolia-Russia Economic Corridor.

The resulting media coverage will highlight Inner Mongolia's efforts in accelerating the development of an open economy, serving both domestic and international circulation, and exploring and implementing practical measures to connect within and beyond its borders.

The visitors will also get an introduction to Inner Mongolia's key enterprises and signature products that are expanding their overseas markets, hear inspiring stories of entrepreneurs from Inner Mongolia who are participating in the joint construction of the "Belt and Road", as well as see examples of practical cooperation and exchange activities between the region and other countries involved in the BRI.

The tour, during which the members of the media will conduct extensive interviews, runs until Nov 19.
