On July 15, members of the 2023 international media tour "A Date with China" visited Ordos and were impressed by the city's net-zero industrial park, the world's first of its kind, showcasing impressive green development.
They had the opportunity to closely experience the latest developments in industries such as power batteries and energy storage, electric heavy-duty trucks, and battery materials.
Zou Quanlin, the Deputy General Manager of Envision Northern Technology Company, announced that the industrial park has a green energy supply system called "Wind-Hydrogen". 80 percent of the energy is directly generated from wind power, photovoltaics, and energy storage.

The industrial park achieves a 100 percent zero-carbon energy supply by purchasing green electricity from the grid, making it the first of its kind in the world.
Currently, there are nine new energy companies in the industrial park. A zero-carbon industrial chain cluster integrating wind power, hydrogen energy, energy storage, and vehicles is forming there, according to park officials.
Syed Agha Hassnain Mohsan, a Pakistani doctoral student at Zhejiang University, expressed gratitude for visiting the industrial park and learning about lithium battery production and new energy prospects.
He highlighted the importance of better integrating academic research with industries, which will be immensely useful for future research endeavors.
