The first batch of Russian soybeans recently arrived at Manzhouli Port in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region via the China-Russia New Land Corridor for Grain Transportation.

It is reported that the soybeans weigh 271.6 metric tons and were dispatched to Tianjin, a city neighboring the capital Beijing.

The China-Russia New Land Corridor for Grain Transportation is a key project implemented under the joint initiative of the heads of both China and Russia.

The project aims to strengthen agricultural trade between the two countries by building a new land corridor connecting western Russia and northern China. This is significant in implementing national food security strategies and promoting China-Russia economic and trade cooperation.

During the project's operation, the amount of Russian grain transported through Manzhouli Port each year is expected to reach 8 million tons.
