North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region will showcase its top industries and resources at the 22nd China International Fair for Investment and Trade, or CIFIT -- due to take place in Xiamen city, in East China's Fujian province, on Sept 8-11.

During the event, Inner Mongolia will have a 415-square-meter exhibition hall in the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center to demonstrate the unique advantages it possesses in terms of location, resources, policies and its business environment.

It will also promote its eight major industrial clusters and 12 key industry supply chains. They include green agricultural and livestock product processing, new energy, new materials, the modern coal chemicals industry, biopharmaceuticals, rare earth and non-ferrous metals.

Meanwhile, the Inner Mongolia Promotion Symposium will be held in the Xiamen International Convention and Exhibition Center on the morning of Sept 9 -- providing a matchmaking and exchange platform for Xiamen city, Fujian province and the Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

Moreover, plans are for the Inner Mongolia delegation to attend the opening ceremony of the fair, the International Investment Forum 2022 and other events.

Additionally, the region's Ordos city will also organize a delegation to attend this year's fair as a popular investment city recommended by the Department of Commerce of Inner Mongolia.

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the GDP of Inner Mongolia has grown from just over 1 trillion yuan ($140 billion) in 2012 to over 2 trillion yuan in 2021.

The annual output of grain in the region has exceeded 35 billion kilograms for four consecutive years, while the number of livestock has topped 70 million.

Two 100 billion-yuan level dairy and corn industry clusters and ten 10 billion-yuan level industrial clusters -- including clusters for mutton, beef cattle and potato production and processing -- have been developed in Inner Mongolia.
