Inner Mongolia registers 203,200 business entities in H1

In the first half of this year, North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region continued to optimize its business environment and the number of business entities in the region – ranging from sole traders, to partnerships and up to major companies – grew robustly. 

Statistics from the region's bureau for market regulation revealed that at the end of June, Inner Mongolia had a total of 2.46 million registered business entities, a year-on-year increase of 5.83 percent.

From January to June, Inner Mongolia added 203,200 new business entities, representing an increase of 9.45 percent compared with the same period last year.

Of those, 47,900 were newly established businesses, 153,400 were individual industrial and commercial concerns and 1,900 were farmers' cooperatives.

Additionally, in the first half of the year, 138,700 business entities were either cancelled or revoked, a year-on-year increase of 5.48 percent.

In terms of structure, the number of market players in the region in the first half of the year showed a balanced development trend between the east and the west.

There were more enterprises in the western leagues and cities, with more individual industrial and commercial concerns and farmers' cooperatives in the east.

At the end of June, there were 211,600 primary industry business entities in the region, accounting for 8.62 percent; 238,900 secondary industry business entities, accounting for 9.73 percent of the total and 2,005,600 tertiary industry business entities, accounting for 81.66 percent.
