Technology to lead Inner Mongolia's development
Helping Inner Mongolia explore a new path toward high-quality development based on eco-friendly priorities and green development has recently been included on a national task list.
This was stated in the "The Implementation Plan of East-West Science and Technology Cooperation During the 14th Five-Year Plan Period," which was jointly issued by nine ministries, including the Ministry of Science and Technology, the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the State Council and the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The plan focuses on the national science and technology strategy and major regional development needs.
It aims to deepen the cross-regional science and technology cooperation mechanism and improve the east-west science and technology cooperation system in an effort to boost high-quality economic and social development.
The plan proposes that by 2025, the scientific and technological innovation capabilities of the western region should be significantly improved, the spillover effect of scientific and technological innovation in the eastern region should be more significant, and the cross-regional two-way integration of the innovation and industrial chains should be strengthened.
In addition, the leading role of scientific and technological innovation in high-quality economic and social development should be significantly enhanced, which is expected to provide strong support for the construction of a new development model with the domestic and international arenas supporting each other.
Inner Mongolia will receive support in building itself into an ecological security shield in the country's north, promoting the green transformation of energy resources and boosting the development of modern agricultural and animal husbandry.
