Ordos explores high-quality development path in 2022

The city of Ordos in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region will explore a new path of high-quality development in the current year that prioritizes environmental protection and green growth and it will also push for the region's economic development.

These goals were outlined by Party secretary Li Li at the sixth session of the 13th People's Congress of Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

He said his city would boost its development in the following areas:

Promote the stable development of coal, investment and market entities and ensure the economy operates within a reasonable range.

Expand industrial categories, promote the development of the manufacturing industry, cultivate a group of high-tech enterprises and promote the adjustment, optimization and upgrading of the industrial structure.

Accelerate the implementation of innovation policies, continue to expand and strengthen innovation platforms and boost corporate scientific research input and output.

Implement the rural revitalization strategy and promote the coordinated development of urban and rural areas.

Implement the national strategy for eco-friendly protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin and continue to optimize the environment.

Build itself into a national civilized model city and develop itself as a metropolis conducive to business.
