Ulanqab city mayor Fei Dongbin said that the government of Inner Mongolia autonomous region should push forward with its economic and social development by improving the business environment and people’s living standards.

He pointed out that the company was the main economic unit to create social wealth and promote high-quality economic development.

Fei said the government should build a fair market environment, a precise and effective policy environment and a legal environment with equal protection for those starting businesses in Inner Mongolia.

Meanwhile, the government should take the initiative to respond to the demands and concerns of its residents, such as improving education and medical care services, as well as pensions.

Fei also talked about the future plans for Ulanqab. 

He said the city will try to make breakthroughs in strategic emerging industries -- such as big data, logistics, new energy and new materials -- and make efforts to expand its opening-up and achieve economic transformation and upgrading.

Ulanqab has chosen to take a new path of high-quality development with ecological priority and green development, he added.
