The 5th China-Russia-Mongolia International Photography Festival opened in Ulaanqab, a city in North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on July 18 in celebration of the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

According to local media reports, the festival's photography exhibition is divided into a "thematic" section and "special" section. The thematic section is meant to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China and displays 400 photographs of Ulaanqab's development over the past 70 years.

The special exhibition displays 280 works, including photographs of the China-Russia-Mongolia photography exhibition, photographs of Chinese and Inner Mongolian food, and photographs showing Ulaanqab's poverty alleviation efforts throughout the years.
