Inner Mongolia to promote vaccination traceability

2019-03-14

North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region plans to promote a major initiative that improves the quality of information concerning the development of vaccines, paving the way to make the entire vaccination process traceable, according to local media reports.

In 2019, the region plans to complete the collection and integration of children's informatization data, improve the management of vaccinations, and to construct an e-management system for the storage of vaccines.

Meanwhile, the region will build a comprehensive real-time monitoring mechanism for the storage and transportation of vaccines and construct systems regulating vaccination appointments, expiration date reminders for vaccines, real-time statistics covering vaccinations, and relevant information sharing.

Furthermore, in a bid to further guarantee the safety of vaccinations, the region will upgrade all the cold chain equipment for vaccine storage in 13 cities and leagues.
