The Belt and Road Initiative and Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) International Headquarters Economy Forum opened in Beijing on Jan 29.

The event, organized by Hohhot municipal government and Zhongkun Julin (Hohhot) International Trade Co Ltd, aimed at promoting the Belt and Road Initiative and deepening reform and opening-up in the country.

It also focused on expanding industrial capacity cooperation, improving the soft power of the country, cities and corporations, safeguarding national security so as to achieve the Two Centenary Goals of the national development.

The municipal government agreed to work with Zhongkun Julin (Hohhot) International Trade Co Ltd to build a multilateral and international economic platform to harmonize the Eurasian Economic Union with the Belt and Road Initiative, address the issue of global trade protectionism and promote regional economic cooperation and industrial upgrade in Hohhot.

During the forum, representatives of China and Russia spoke highly of the new development model--headquarters economy.

The forum is expected to further enhance the regional economic and trade cooperation between China and Russia and help Zhongkun Julin establish more headquarters in other cities.

Zhang Guoping, director of Hohhot major projects construction office delivered a speech at the forum.
