Inner Mongolia pushes 'Internet Plus' business
Inner Mongolia autonomous region is working to develop Internet Plus business and establishing online platforms for bulk transactions, such as coal, nonferrous metals and rare earths, to integrate online and offline business, reported Xinhua on Sept 17.
The news comes from the People's Government of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, which says that agriculture and animal husbandry are the first subjects of the "Internet of Things" project. New information technologies, including cloud computing and mobile internet, will be applied to bulk stock trade and e-business. Logistics services will become more efficient thanks to a smart information-sharing platform among different regions and industries.
Meanwhile, cross-border e-commerce platforms will also be launched in the region's Manzhouli and Erenhot ports. Payment, credit, logistics, talents, taxes and e-commerce-related services will be improved as well.
It is estimated that by 2020, Inner Mongolia will have 10 exemplary e-commerce clusters, 10 e-commerce transaction platforms and five percent of all social consumption from online shopping.
