Huzhou deputies share insights into key public concerns
As the sixth session of the ninth Huzhou Municipal People's Congress commenced on Jan 21, four deputies to the Huzhou Municipal People's Congress addressed media inquiries during delegates' passage interviews, sharing insights into key public concerns and their work priorities.
Xu Weiyong, director of the Huzhou Development and Reform Commission, emphasized the accelerated implementation of major projects under the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026–30), including the Hangzhou-Ningbo Expressway expansion project and the Tiaoxi River flood control project.
Luo Fang, director of the Huzhou municipal economic and information technology bureau, said, "We aim to increase on-site inspections, ensuring that difficulties encountered by enterprises and the public can be resolved promptly and effectively."
Shen Xinyao, director of the Huzhou Health Commission, highlighted that the average life expectancy of Huzhou's registered population has reached 82.65 years, surpassing the national average by 3.65 years, and the goal is to increase this to over 83 years by 2030.
Wang Guoliang, director of the Huzhou municipal investment promotion bureau, emphasized that actual foreign investment is expected to exceed $500 million in 2025, while the focus in 2026 will be on achieving an 80 percent project implementation rate in sectors such as artificial intelligence and new energy vehicles.
