Huzhou companies set to expand market presence
Huzhou in Zhejiang province hosted its 2026 exhibition resource matchmaking event on Jan 12 and released the 2026 Huzhou First Business Exhibition Directory, which lists exhibitions that the government encourages local enterprises to participate in by providing support.
In 2025, Huzhou organized 870 delegations and supported 2,095 enterprises in major domestic and international exhibitions. The city also held over 20 key events focused on exhibition resource matchmaking.
From January to November 2025, Huzhou's exports to emerging markets totaled 94.1 billion yuan ($13.49 billion), a 6.8 percent year-on-year increase, accounting for 65.3 percent of the city’s total exports.
The new directory features 105 exhibitions. It targets major industries like childrenswear, intelligent logistics, and new energy vehicles, while exploring emerging sectors such as electronics and pet supplies.
The directory emphasizes regional, specialized exhibitions and focuses on enterprise needs, with 60 percent targeting emerging markets, a 6 percent rise from last year.
In the first two months of 2026, Huzhou will organize 35 delegations and support 178 enterprises in participating in international exhibitions, including 70 at Cologne Furniture Fair, 27 at Heimtextil 2026 Frankfurt, and 12 at Domotex 2026 Hannover, Germany.
At the event, exhibition companies and financial institutions presented resources and tailored solutions for local enterprises, addressing challenges such as visas, logistics, and financial support.
