Huzhou's water attractions make splash in summer tourism

The Huzhou Hala Water Park in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province has become a popular destination for locals and tourists looking to escape the summer heat. The park attracts visitors with over 10 fun water-related activities and breathtaking scenery.

"Since reopening this year, the number of visitors has been steadily increasing, with peak days seeing over 2,000 visits daily, a 20 percent rise year-on-year," said a park manager.

This summer, Zhejiang has launched a summer consumer promotion campaign, featuring 10 themed cultural and tourism experiences that include the "Fun of Water Parks".

"With abundant water resources, Huzhou is creating unique water-themed attractions to boost the summer economy," said Bian Yunlu, an official from the Huzhou municipal bureau of culture, radio, television, and tourism.

Currently, the city is home to over 60 water entertainment businesses, offering a variety of attractions such as water parks, rafting, waterfalls, paddleboarding, yachting, sailing, and stream trekking.

At the Anji Happy Storm Water Park in Huzhou's Anji county, 10 themed water-related activities, along with music festivals and light shows, delight visitors.

Anji county's nature-based rafting experiences, such as Xianlong Gorge Rafting, attract thousands daily. The Anji Yuanye Xixi Campground, known for its "Lazy Rafting", is particularly popular with young people, drawing over 10,000 visits on peak weekends.

Huzhou's water attractions have also spurred a rise in night markets and tours, invigorating the local summer economy.
