A delegation of the Ministry of Women Affairs, Community, Small and Medium Enterprise Development in Zimbabwe visited the Zhili International Children's Garment Mall in Wuxing district, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, on April 5.

Impressed by the diverse array of children's wear products on display, the delegation members praised the vibrant and innovative designs that catered to children of all ages.

Zhili town, known as the "China's Capital of Children's Clothing", has seen a transformation in recent years toward internationalization and branding, aiming to become the "World's Capital of Children's Clothing".

With over 14,000 children's wear enterprises and an annual production of 2 billion pieces, the industry in Zhili has thrived, with sales reaching 85 billion yuan ($11.62 billion) in 2024.

Following the visit, the delegation purchased various children's clothes to bring back to Zimbabwean. Monica Mutsvangwa, minister of women's affairs, community, small and medium enterprise development, said that the scale and development of the children's wear industry in Zhili are impressive.

She hoped that this visit could further strengthen cooperation between Zimbabwe and China in children's wear, and introduce more high-quality Zhili children's wear products into the African market.
