At Nacacare Cosmetics Co in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, a large quantity of cleaning products were recently exported to Malaysia. "This year, we are continuing to expand overseas markets, and our application of the ASEAN Free Trade Certificate of Origin has increased a lot," said Xu Shuning, the company's foreign trade manager.

The simplification of the process for obtaining the certificates of origin has been a game-changer. Since September, companies exporting to Malaysia and Vietnam can self-print the certificates.

Huzhou Customs provides enterprises with guidance for online applications, which not only reduces costs but also enhances their confidence in international markets.

Certificates of origin play a pivotal role in unlocking tariff benefits for foreign trade entities. Huzhou Customs reported issuing 62,012 certificates of origin from January to November, a growth of 19.1 percent, which is expected to save local exporters around 550 million yuan ($75.53 million) in tariffs.

Xin Hongfang of Zhejiang Best Link Nonwoven Technology Co echoed the sentiment, emphasizing the new advantages offered by the RCEP Certificate of Origin. By processing 205 certificates from January to November, the company expects to save over 2 million yuan in tariffs, bolstering its international market presence.

Huzhou Customs' proactive measures, including setting up 175 24-hour service stations for printing certificates, aim to empower local businesses to navigate global markets efficiently.
