Huzhou holds micro-drama script competition

The First Yangtze River Delta Micro-Drama Script Competition concluded in Nanxun district, Huzhou, Zhejiang province, on Nov 28.
Micro-dramas, also known as miniseries, which feature episodes between tens of seconds to over 10 minutes, have seen a boom in popularity in recent years. By hosting the competition, Nanxun aims to attract more excellent scriptwriters to the region, infusing it with fresh cultural vigor.
Over 200 industry experts, award-winning scriptwriters, and representatives from prominent film and TV companies nationwide attended the Nanxun Film and Television Promotion Conference and visited filming bases in Nanxun.
Champion scriptwriter Zhang Bieren said that the competition has given him the determination to delve more deeply into the micro-drama industry and create more high-quality works.
Nanxun has been focused on becoming a film and television hub in the Yangtze River Delta. With over 1,000 filming locations and a total filming area exceeding 15,000 square meters, it caters to a wide range of production needs. Nearly 200 productions blending Nanxun's cultural elements have been filmed in the area.
