Representatives from over 50 Belt and Road Initiative partner countries visited Zhili town in Wuxing district, Huzhou, on Nov 10, to witness the growth of its renowned children's wear industry.

During the visit, the "China Children's Wear Art Center" was officially inaugurated. Spanning 4,800 square meters, the center features 10 themed exhibition halls, including sections on the history of children's wear, traditional costumes, textile tools, and cultural innovations. It also includes interactive spaces like a nostalgic factory and a children's fairytale world.

The international attendees also participated in cultural activities, enjoying dragon and lion dances, traditional Huju opera performances, and hands-on experiences with local intangible cultural heritage projects and Zhili cuisine, offering a vivid glimpse into Chinese traditions.

Zhili's children's wear industry plays a pivotal role in the local economy, producing two-thirds of China's children's apparel and exporting to 165 countries and regions.

In recent years, the town has accelerated its global outreach, establishing the Huzhou ASEAN Overseas Marketing Center in Bangkok, where 45 Zhili-based enterprises now operate, expanding the industry's presence.
