Registration for 2024 Huzhou Marathon gets underway

The 2024 Huzhou Marathon is set to commence in Huzhou, Zhejiang province, on Nov 17. Registration for the event opened at 10 am on Sept 26.
The Huzhou Marathon has been certified as an A1 event by the Chinese Athletics Association. It is held by Zhejiang Wuma Sports Co and the Huzhou News Media Center.
The number of participants for the marathon is 15,000 this year, divided into four categories: 3,000 for the full marathon (42.195 kilometers), 6,000 for the half marathon (21.0975 km), 3,000 for the 10km race, and 3,000 for the fun run (3.5 km).
The route will start from the Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise before traversing into the heart of Huzhou along the southern Taihu Lake shoreline. The course will pass through scenic spots such as Taihu Ancient Town and Gucheng Scenic Area, offering breathtaking views at every step and showcasing Huzhou's distinctive beauty.
In 2023, the inaugural Huzhou Marathon attracted 10,000 domestic and international participants, including 27 international runners. Participants were predominantly from Zhejiang, accounting for 69 percent of the total, followed by 23.3 percent from Shanghai, Jiangsu, and Anhui.
