The China (Huzhou)-Brazil Economic and Trade Investment Matchmaking was held in Sao Paulo, Brazil, on Sept 5 local time, in a significant move to deepen economic collaboration between Brazil and Huzhou, Zhejiang province.

This is the first economic and trade matchmaking event this year to be held in Brazil by a city in the Yangtze River Delta region.

During the event, Hong Hupeng, mayor of Huzhou, provided attendees with insights into Huzhou's economic and social development. Emphasizing the 50th anniversary of China-Brazil diplomatic relations, he underscored the event's objective of deepening and broadening cooperation for enhanced outcomes. He also invited more Brazilian friends to explore Huzhou and its products in person.

The event featured a Huzhou promotional video, presentations on Sao Paulo's innovation landscape, and the signing of strategic cooperation agreements between enterprises and institutions in the two cities. Several participants also visited the Huzhou Brazil Overseas Business Center for firsthand investigations before the event.
