Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise and Nanxun Ancient Town, two scenic attractions in Huzhou, were recently listed among Zhejiang provincial demonstration cultural and tourism intellectual properties (IP).

A total of 15 cultural and tourism IP, including Liangzhu culture, made the list. The IP campaign comes as part of the provincial government's efforts to promote the integrated development of culture and tourism, as well as enhance brand building.

Taihu Lake Longemont Paradise in Huzhou's Changxing county covers about 800 hectares. It is a tourist complex consisting of luxury hotels, senior care apartments, an international circus city, a wild animal world, an amusement park, a shopping center, wetland parks, and bar streets.

With a history of more than 700 years, Nanxun Ancient Town is Huzhou's only 5A national scenic area, the nation's highest rating for scenic spots.

It was founded in 1252 during the Southern Song Dynasty (1127-1279). The town is one of the best-preserved old towns in the region and is currently among the top six ancient towns in Jiangnan, a region located in the south of the Yangtze River.
