Book about Huzhou's application of 'Two Mountains' theory published
A book recording Huzhou's experiences in implementing the "Two Mountains" theory was recently published.
The "Two Mountains" theory – which states that lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets – was firstly proposed in Huzhou's Anji county in 2005.
The dialectic notion has since proved an important guide for both rural and urban areas in China, as the country seeks high-quality economic growth and undertakes its global commitments on ecological protection and development.
This year marks the final year of the country's 13th Five-Year Plan (2016-20) and the 15th year since the "Two Mountains" theory was first put forward.
The book, compiled by the Party history research office of the CPC Huzhou Municipal Committee, systematically explores Huzhou's process in implementing the "Two Mountains" theory over the past 15 years.
Published by Zhejiang People's Publishing House, the book, with a total of 270,000 words, is composed of major principles, important replies, news reports, honors, documents and conferences.
The book will provide a literary basis for the study of the "Two Mountains" theory and promote its implementation across the city.
