An Iranian painter with the Chinese nickname Wangzai recently started a painting class in Huzhou, East China's Zhejiang province.

Wangzai is a native of Tehran, the capital and biggest city in Iran. He started to learn painting when he was four years old.

He studied oil painting at Shanghai University and decided to pursue his dream of being an independent artist in Huzhou after graduation.

His painting studio is located at a tourist resort in the city. The owner of the resort provided the studio to him for free.

Wangzai is known for his kindness and fluency in Chinese. He likes to talk with local people and make friends with them. His artwork is impressive, said staff members at the resort.

Wangzai said that he loves the beautiful landscapes and tranquil country life in Huzhou, which can give him inspiration for painting.

He held a personal painting exhibition showcasing over 20 outstanding artworks during this year's National Day holiday in the Liangzhu ancient city ruins park in Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province.

He held the exhibition to pay tribute to China's rich history and culture with his unique art style. This is the second exhibition that he has held since he came to Huzhou.
