Guizhou provides convenient services to welcome intl travelers

The National Immigration Administration announced that, starting from Dec 17, five additional provinces are included in the visa-free transit policy. These include Southwest China's Guizhou province, where international travelers can stay for up to 10 days by entering through Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport.

Guizhou has made thorough preparations to ensure the effective implementation of the visa-free transit policy. To welcome incoming international travelers, Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport has completed renovations of the international arrival hall at terminal 3.

It is equipped with a foreign guest service center that provides currency exchange, telecommunication support, tourism introduction, and car rental.

The Foreign Affairs Office of Guizhou Province has produced A Guide to Foreigners Working and Living in Guizhou (2024) and plans to distribute 5,000 copies to international visitors.

Three major telecommunications companies have introduced short-term phone cards valid for seven, 15, and 30 days, offering various phone, SMS, and data service packages. They are also working to ensure high-quality communication services for international tourists at the airport.

The Guizhou branch of the People's Bank of China, in collaboration with relevant departments, has issued the "Implementation Plan for Further Optimizing Payment Services and Enhancing Payment Convenience in Guizhou Province".

The main shops and institutions in Guizhou that international visitors frequent accept payments with cell phones, bank cards, and cash. These include dining, accommodation, transportation, tourism, shopping, entertainment, and medical services.

With the implementation of the visa-free transit policy, an increasing number of international tourists are expected to visit Guizhou. This winter, they can immerse themselves in the city's colorful culture and enjoy its scenic spots, night markets, and ethnic villages.
