Guizhou scenic spots recognized in most beautiful villages list

Qingyan Ancient Town and Danzhai Wanda Village in Southwest China's Guizhou province have been named "2024 Most Beautiful Villages". The announcement was made on Dec 13 at the second members' meeting of the Most Beautiful Villages Branch of the China Tourism Association in Beijing. This year, only 11 towns nationwide were selected.

Qingyan Ancient Town is located in the southern part of Guiyang's Huaxi district, 29 kilometers from the city center and 12 km from Huaxi's urban area.

In September 2005, Qingyan Ancient Town was selected among the second batch of Chinese Historical and Cultural Towns by the Ministry of Construction and the National Cultural Heritage Administration.

In February 2017, it earned the prestigious designation of a national 5A-level scenic area, becoming Guiyang's first tourist site to achieve this honor.

Danzhai Wanda Village is in Danzhai county, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture. Surrounded by mountains, it boasts picturesque natural scenery and abundant water resources.

The village's style is characterized by the traditional architectural features of the Miao, Dong, and Sui ethnic groups. The 1.5-km street in the village features buildings in the Miao style, which harmonize with the natural scenery of the East Lake Scenic Area. Visitors strolling through the town can enjoy both the natural beauty and the rich ethnic cultural atmosphere.
