Southwest China's Guizhou province ranked in the top 10 nationwide for 894 types of products exported to Southeast Asia, 161 to South Asia, and 151 to Central Asia in the first half of this year.

Recent market monitoring and forecast reports on Guizhou's key export products released by the Guizhou Academy of Social Sciences and Guizhou Provincial Department of Commerce summarize the regional distribution differences of key export products. They highlight that Guizhou's export competitiveness in Southeast Asia is stronger than in South and Central Asia, with industrial manufactured goods being more competitive than agricultural products.

In Southeast Asia, Guizhou has 849 competitive industrial products and 45 competitive agricultural products. This breaks the traditional perception that Guizhou's export strengths are limited to products like baijiu and tires, showcasing a wider range of products.

Guizhou has seen South and Southeast Asian countries as strategic priorities for expanding its opening-up, with increasingly frequent trade cooperation.

Data shows that Guizhou's total import and export volume with ASEAN has grown at an annual average rate of 33.8 percent over the past two years. In the first three quarters of this year, it reached 54.03 billion yuan, an increase of 12.5 percent compared to last year.
