2024 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week to kick off in Guizhou

The 2024 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week will take place in Gui'an New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Aug 20-25.

This year's event aims to showcase new achievements in China-ASEAN educational exchanges and cooperation, enhance the cooperation week, and promote the integration of learning and research to promote production.

It will see the sharing of experience and achievements in higher education, vocational education, basic education, special education, lifelong education, and other fields between China and ASEAN to better serve cultural exchanges, deepen educational cooperation, and promote regional economic and social development.

The 2024 cooperation week will host over 70 activities, with more than 40 events planned during the opening period and others scheduled throughout the year.

Laos is the rotating chair of ASEAN in 2024 and has been designated as the special guest country of the 2024 China-ASEAN Education Cooperation Week. Key leaders from the Laotian parliament and other important guests will be invited.

National leaders of China, politicians of ASEAN countries, education ministers from China and Southeast Asian countries, ambassadors of ASEAN countries and countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative to China, experts, scholars, school principals, academicians, business representatives, students, and media representatives will attend the opening ceremony.
