Final of Village Basketball Association concludes in Guizhou

The final match of the Village Basketball Association Championship Tournament (Guizhou region) was held in Taipan village, Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture, Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 7.

The Heijin Qishi team defeated the Guiding Yichen team with a score of 79:47, winning the championship. The Guiding Yichen team secured the runner-up position, followed by the Zhongtie Zhiye team and the Zhenyuan Jianggu team.

Since March, a total of 75 teams from the Guizhou region have participated in the tournament, with each team taking the opportunity to showcase their basketball skills and foster friendships.

The venue of the final match was packed to capacity. In addition to song and dance performances, NBA star Danny Green was also present, interacting with the audience. The Village Basketball Association is not just a celebration for basketball players and fans, but also a grand gathering for people of all ethnic groups.

In recent years, grassroots sports have spread across the country, including in rural areas. Leveraging the Village Basketball Association event, Taijiang has integrated sports with industrial development to boost rural vitalization.
