A delegation from Southwest China's Guizhou province was invited by Ante Simonić, former deputy prime minister of Croatia, to attend a Chinese culture promotion event at Petar Zrinski Primary School in Čabar City, Croatia on April 22.

Lu Yongzheng, head of the publicity department of the CPC Guizhou Provincial Committee, engaged in discussions with students, parents, and teachers participating in the event.

He introduced Chinese culture and Guizhou province, saying that civilization thrives through exchanges and enriches through mutual learning.

He expressed his delight at seeing Croatian youth enjoying and learning from traditional Chinese culture, and said he hopes that the students will continue to learn about different cultures.

Guizhou and Čabar share similar geographical features and landscapes. Lu said he looks forward to young friends from Croatia visiting China, especially Guizhou.

The delegation presented Guizhou ethnic handicrafts to the students at the event.

Simonić pointed out that the Croatia-China Friendship Association has maintained exchanges with Guizhou over the years, each playing its role in promoting cooperation in various fields such as economy, trade, culture, and tourism.

Simonić said he believes that with everyone's joint efforts, the friendship between Guizhou and Croatia will grow deeper in the future.
