Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has presented various events to celebrate Chinese New Year.
On Nanming district's Qingyun Road, a shopping festival has been launched, featuring more than 120 booths. In addition to traditional Chinese New Year goods, there are also handmade crafts, cultural and creative products, and some booths that provide pet, medical beauty, and tourism consulting services.
The 2024 Guiyang Guanshanhu Lantern Festival, which had been on hiatus for four years, lit up again on Feb 6. Nearly 100 sets of light and shadow art installations contributed to the festive atmosphere in Guizhou.
The temple fair, which runs as part of the lantern festival, features more than 200 booths, including more than 100 well-known food brands. The fair has also organized a series of folk performances to add to the festive atmosphere.
Guiyang has also organized for roadside music concerts and garden parties to take place during the Spring Festival holiday.
The roadside music concerts will be held from the first to the eighth day of the first lunar month, while the ancient-style garden parties will offer interactive activities such as ancient costume parades, flower boat performances, face-changing, dragon lanterns, and riddle guessing games.
