Guizhou promotes county-level economy with culture and tourism sectors

Southwest China's Guizhou province is known for its marvelous natural landscapes with varied mountain and water scenery that exudes ethnic charm and rustic beauty.

The county-level areas in Guizhou have many tourist attractions, making tourism a versatile, wealth-generating, and environmentally friendly industry that plays a leading role in the county's economy.

In recent years, Guizhou has designed a number of tourist routes and connected tourism resources within the surrounding counties, which has led to a rapid recovery in the cultural and tourism market and injected vitality into the high-quality development of the county-level economy.

The recently released "Implementation Opinions on Promoting the High-Quality Development of the County-level Economy" in Guizhou provides support for counties in the cultivation and introduction of strong tourism market entities, as well as the creation of high-quality and distinctive scenic areas.

The opinions state that efforts will be made to strengthen cooperation between counties and traditional leading travel agencies and well-known online travel service platforms and conduct promotional activities in a number of stages and themes, such as cultural tourism, wine tourism, rural tourism, sports tourism, health tourism, and bridge tourism.

According to third-party statistics, since the inception of the Village Soccer Super League event, Rongjiang county has received a total of 6.37 million tourists, generating a comprehensive tourism revenue of 7.23 billion yuan ($1.01 billion).

Moreover, driven by the Village Basketball Association series of events, in the first three quarters of this year, Taijiang county received a total of 4.69 million visitors, generating 5.43 billion yuan in tourism revenue.
