Guizhou dedicated to big data, real economy integration

As the first national big data comprehensive pilot zone, Southwest China's Guizhou province has been focusing on intelligent manufacturing and promoting industrial transformation and upgrading through big data.

Data shows that digitalized industries in Guizhou account for more than 90 percent of the entire digital economy. The integration of big data and the real economy has become a new engine for the development of the digital economy and industrial transformation and upgrading in Guizhou.

In recent years, Guizhou has been encouraging companies to apply big data. The number of enterprises undergoing digital integration and transformation has increased from nearly 1,000 to over 10,000, cumulatively driving 25,000 companies to use cloud services.

The e-commerce application rate of agricultural enterprises in Guizhou has increased by 6.2 percentage points over the past five years, reaching 64.1 percent.

The digital R&D design tool popularization rate and key process numerical control rate of industrial enterprises in the province have increased by 20.9 and 17.1 percentage points over the past five years, reaching 69.6 percent and 50.3 percent, respectively.

Currently, 78 percent of Guizhou's accommodation enterprises are on e-commerce platforms, 37 percent of tourism enterprises are on regional comprehensive service platforms, and 57 percent of enterprises are on new media platforms.

In the next three years, Guizhou will focus on key industries, form three to five industry digital transformation guidelines each year, establish a number of integration benchmarks, launch multiple industry-level digital transformation platforms, and launch several industry-level and regional-level digital transformation platforms.
