17th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference to be held in April

The 17th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference will be held in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, from April 6 to 7, according to a news conference held by the information office of the Guizhou Provincial People's Government on March 29.

This year's conference will have one opening ceremony, one forum of the establishment and development of culture and tourism integration and innovation platform, interviews, one investment promotion conference for Guizhou's culture and tourism industries, investment promotion activities for China's tourism stock assets, matchmaking activities for Guizhou's culture and tourism projects, and business tours for investors.

About 530 representatives of domestic and international culture and tourism companies will be invited to attend the conference.

The conference has been successfully held 16 times since 2006, and has become an important platform for the promotion of the integrated development of tourism and other industrial sectors.

It also helps boost the high-quality development of Guizhou's tourism sector, cultivate tourism brands, and promote the sustained growth of Guizhou's tourism economy.

Unlike previous conferences, this year's conference invited companies as co-organizers for the first time in an effort to deepen the market-oriented operation mechanism.

Focusing on Guizhou's nine national 5A-level scenic spots, Xijiang One-thousand-household Miao Village, Wanfenglin Scenic Spot and two national tourist resorts, this year's conference will plan for major projects, improve tourism projects and refine tourist routes so as to enrich the tourism business formats and extend the industrial chain.
