From January to October this year, Southwest China's Guizhou province reduced 11.8 billion yuan ($1.81 billion) of taxes, 3.81 billion yuan of which were lowered according to new policies released this year.
Guizhou also reduced 25.4 billion yuan of social insurance fees, 22.6 billion yuan of which were lowered for companies.
In recent years, the province has focused on the problems faced by tax and fee payers to continue optimizing the business environment. Through training programs and promotions, simplifying application procedures and giving notices, Guizhou has ensured all the qualified companies can enjoy tax reduction policies.
All of Guizhou's 239 tax-related applications can be addressed at the online taxation bureau. During the first 10 months of this year, Guizhou's online taxation bureau handled 19.5 million applications, 3.82 million more than the same period last year.
The online taxation bureau can extract tax declaration data, allow taxpayers to declare with only one chart, convert declaration forms from financial statements and accept online payment.
In addition, the province has 717 tax payment terminals and 93 24-hour tax payment areas. To further reduce the time and financial cost of tax payment, 77 percent of Guizhou's tax affairs can be handled without physical contact, 73 percent of the affairs allow incomplete materials, and 76 percent of the affairs can be completed with one visit to the bureaus.
