According to Guiyang customs, during the first 10 months of this year, Southwest China's Guizhou province achieved 43.3 billion yuan ($6.58 billion) of import and export value, a year-on-year increase of 21.3 percent, which ranks second in China.
The province's export value was 35.6 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 39.8 percent – ranking first in China. Its import value was 7.7 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 24.6 percent.
Guizhou's favorable balance of trade was 27.89 billion yuan from January to October, increasing 6.86 billion yuan over the previous three quarters.
In October, Guizhou's import and export value was 4.79 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 16 percent, including 3.8 billion yuan of exports and 990 million yuan of imports.
